Samsung’s First Look event, held virtually on January 6th, saw the company affirm its commitment to pursuing accessibility, sustainability and innovation in all its latest products and technologies to help redefine the role of the television in consumers’ homes.

 

Samsung has embarked on a sustainability journey that puts the environment first in all business operations with several long-term sustainability programs that include sustainable packaging design, solar cell-powered remote controls and the reduction of carbon footprints through the use of recycled materials.

      Samsung Electronics will host The First Look on January 4 at 7:00 PM PST in the Latour Ballroom at the Wynn Las Vegas. At the event — set to take place two days before the opening of CES 2026, the world’s largest IT and consumer electronics show — the company will unveil its vision for the DX (Device eXperience) Division in 2026, along with new AI-driven customer experiences.
      TM Roh, CEO and Head of Device eXperience (DX) Division, will be the keynote speaker for The First Look. SW Yong, President and Head of the Visual Display (VD) Business, and Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Digital Appliances (DA) Business, will also appear on stage to share their respective business directions for the upcoming year.
      The event will be streamed live on Samsung Newsroom, Samsung Electronics’ official YouTube channel and as well as Samsung TV Plus, the company’s FAST (free, ad-supported TV streaming) service. Additional Samsung events and exhibitions will take place at the company’s exclusive exhibition at the Wynn Las Vegas through January 7.

      ▲ A first-of-its-kind hybrid event for the global Odyssey community will be held at Samsung KX, London, on June 13, featuring a live stream on the Odyssey Twitch channel.
       
      Samsung Electronics has announced Odyssey Unveiled 2025, the first-ever hybrid Odyssey event that brings together Odyssey fans at an in-person experience zone with those joining worldwide via a live online broadcast on the Odyssey Twitch channel. This event, to be hosted at Samsung KX, London, on June 13, will offer a unique opportunity for gaming enthusiasts worldwide to connect, compete and experience the next generation of immersive gaming displays – either in-person or online.

      Meet the Stars: Hosts, Streamers, and the Ultimate Gaming Face-Off

       
      Odyssey Unveiled 2025 will feature high-profile streamers and influencers, maximizing engagement both onsite and online. UK-based host Dan Gaskin will guide the evening, alongside celebrated streamers Caedrel and George Clarkey.
       
      Dan Gaskin: An award-winning esports commentator will serve as the event host, providing live commentary and updates on the action for both in-person and online audiences. Caedrel: One of the most renowned streamers within the League of Legends community, Caedrel will showcase The First Berserker: Khazan and Rocket League. George Clarkey: The popular influencer and co-host of an award-winning podcast The Useless Hotline, will demo the gaming lineup.  
      The program features two main 1:1 game showdowns:
       
      On the 27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF), Caedrel and George Clarkey will demonstrate the immersive 3D experience of the monitor in the impressive and challenging soulslike game, The First Berserker: Khazan. On the 27-inch 4K 240Hz Odyssey OLED G8 (G81SF), the two streamers will play Rocket League against each other, before opening the competition up to play against one attendee.  
      Both matches will be streamed live, with interactive elements and prizes for in-person and online viewers.
       
       
      Immersive In-person Experience Zone
      Onsite attendees can explore two dedicated gaming zones:
       
      The Odyssey Box: An open experience zone and streaming area featuring Odyssey 3D, where visitors can capture and share their favorite moments. The Gaming Bus & Bus Stop: Hands-on trials of Odyssey 3D and OLED G8 monitors, with opportunities to play featured games and meet influencers.  
      Samsung will offer branded giveaways and exclusive merchandise during the event, creating memorable experiences for participants both in-person and online. Highlight reels and behind-the-scenes footage will later become available on Samsung’s social media accounts to further immerse those tuning in to the exciting action taking place in London.

      Ahead of the opening of CES 2025, Samsung Electronics showcased a range of new products at First Look 2025 — underscoring its technological leadership and introducing Vision AI, a new direction for AI screens.
       
      ▲ Samsung presented the future of AI technology, highlighting four key pillars: “On-Device AI,” “Connectivity,” “Personalized” and “Openness,” which are fully integrated with Knox Security, Bixby and Tizen OS.
       
       
      Vision AI: Bringing Personalized AI to the Center of Daily Life
      The Vision AI Zone provided an overview of Samsung’s signature AI features, presenting technologies that transcend the traditional role of TVs to now deliver personalized experiences tailored to users’ preferences and different environments. Some of the standout features that drew a crowd included Click to Search, which retrieves information with a single click while watching content; Live Translate, which converts foreign-language content into subtitles in the user’s preferred language; and Generative Wallpaper, which uses AI to create customized digital displays.
       

       
      ▲ Using Click to Search, users can click on people or items with the dedicated AI button on a remote while viewing content. The feature identifies the selected object, retrieves relevant information and recommends content in similar genres.
       

       
      ▲ The Live Translate feature allows users to enjoy real-time subtitles in the chosen language, eliminating language barriers.
       

       
      ▲Generative Wallpaper uses AI to generate high-quality 4K images that match users’ preferences, optimized for large screens. This feature enables users to create personalized digital displays that reflect their home’s ambiance, emotions and individual tastes.

      Also showcased were some of the latest advancements in display technology. Innovations included the HoloDisplay, a floating screen that uses 3D technology to project images in lifelike detail, and the MICRO LED Beauty Mirror, a unique form factor that provides customized beauty solutions.

      ▲The Premiere 5, the industry’s first interactive triple-laser ultra-short-throw (UST) projector, offers touch interaction functionality on the display it projects, enabling users to engage in touch-based activities such as drawing and playing puzzle games. The Premiere 5 delivers a super large screen of up to 100 inches with exceptional image quality from just 43 centimeters away.
       
      ▲ The sheer size of Samsung’s 115-inch TV was enough to capture visitors’ attention.
