Samsung Electronics today announced a new collaboration with MUNCH to add iconic artworks by Edvard Munch to Samsung Art Store. The digital collection makes 37 masterpieces such as “The Scream,” “The Dance of Life” and “Melancholy” — as well as several rare works from the museum’s collection — available to millions of users around the world.

Samsung Art Store Opens Up MUNCH Archives
Alongside Munch’s iconic masterpieces, the collection offers a more intimate view of Edvard Munch’s artistry with rarely seen works such as “Garden with Trees” and “Two People at Table.” These works are part of a collection of treasures preserved in the museum’s archives, many of which must be kept in carefully controlled environments to protect them from further deterioration. Their condition makes them too vulnerable for public display, even at the museum in Oslo.
“This collaboration is an exciting opportunity to share Edvard Munch’s art with audiences beyond the museum’s walls in Oslo,” said Tone Hansen, Director of MUNCH. “Through Samsung’s global reach and Art TV technology, we can make Munch’s work more accessible to people around the world and we are incredibly honored to collaborate with Samsung on this meaningful initiative.”
The collection will be exclusively available on Samsung’s Art TV lineup through Samsung Art Store, providing users with a close look at Munch’s private world by allowing them to explore and display the artist’s hidden gems at home.

Samsung is redefining the role of the TV in the home by merging premium display technology with elegant designs that blend naturally with any interior. As Samsung Art Store expands across the Art TV lineup, which includes The Frame, OLED, Neo QLED and Micro RGB,1 the company is connecting everyday interiors with curated artwork from leading museums, galleries and artists.
Through Samsung Art Store, users can access more than 5,000 artworks from renowned artists and institutions, now including works from MUNCH. Each piece is faithfully reproduced in high quality, allowing people around the world to enjoy art as part of everyday life. Current owners of compatible Samsung TVs in Europe who are new to Samsung Art Store can enjoy a complimentary 90-day subscription trial, providing immediate access to the complete Munch collection and the broader Samsung Art Store catalog.2
The artworks selected from MUNCH will be available worldwide on Samsung Art Store starting June 1, 2026.

The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is known for its association with movements such as De Stijl and for its focus on modern art and design. Its collection includes works that use strong color, geometric forms and bold compositions, all elements that continue to influence how interiors and objects are designed today.
Highlights include “The Parakeet and the Mermaid” by Henri Matisse, alongside pieces by Kazimir Malevich, Vincent van Gogh, Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet and Jan Toorop, reflecting the breadth of the Stedelijk’s modern European collection.

Samsung Electronics today announced a new partnership between Samsung Art Store and the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA), bringing museum-quality modern masterpieces to homes around the world through Samsung Art Store. Notably, SFMOMA is the first West Coast museum to be added to Samsung Art Store, significantly expanding the platform’s world-class institutional collaborations. Launching today, the debut collection features 34 artworks from SFMOMA’s renowned holdings, including iconic pieces by some of the 20th century’s most influential artists.
For the first time, Samsung Art Store1 users can display celebrated works such as Diego Rivera’s “The Flower Carrier” (1935), Henri Matisse’s “Femme au chapeau” (1905), Wayne Thiebaud’s “Display Cakes” (1963), Jackson Pollock’s “Guardians of the Secret” (1943) and Piet Mondrian’s “New York City 2” (1941) on select Samsung displays — transforming any room into a dynamic gallery space.
The collaboration makes these iconic works from SFMOMA’s collection more accessible than ever before. It also represents a significant expansion of Samsung Art Store’s offering of modern masters by introducing works by Robert Rauschenberg and Wayne Thiebaud to the platform for the first time.

Anti-Reflection with Matte Display and customizable bezels2 mimic the look of framed artwork, and the included Slim Fit Wall Mount eliminates visible wires, all combining to create the look of an original work of art.
The Frame Pro adds an upgraded Neo QLED 4K display for even brighter color and sharper contrast. Plus, its Wireless One Connect Box3 eases installation and enables a clean, clutter-free setup. Image restoration has seen significant progress over the decades and is now drawing more attention as various deep learning networks emerge. However, single models with different architectures or random initialization states exhibit prediction deviations from ground truths, resulting in sub-optimal restoration results. Ensemble learning has been applied to image restoration to address this issue, but most ensemble methods in image restoration require ensembles in the training stage. The ensemble strategy must be determined while training multiple models, so it sacrifices flexibility in changing models and the convenience of plug-and-play usage.
This article introduces EnsIR, an image restoration ensemble algorithm based on Gaussian mixture models (GMMs). This method formulates the ensemble problem, and ensemble weights are efficiently learned via the expectation maximization (EM) algorithm, which is stored in a lookup table (LUT) to be utilized in the subsequent inference stage. This algorithm demonstrates better performance than regression-based ensemble methods and commonly used averaging strategies. It can be applied to various image restoration tasks.
