Samsung TV Plus, Samsung’s free ad-supported TV (FAST) service, has grown into an industry-leading platform — operating 2,000 channels in 24 countries — since its launch in 2015. The platform’s success continues to skyrocket, with consumers in these countries using Samsung TV Plus across 500 million devices as of June 2023 and recording three billion hours of accumulated viewing time worldwide in 2022.

 

With its competitive service structure, Samsung TV Plus benefits consumers as well as content and ad partners — providing new, enriching viewing experiences thanks to its extensive network. The second article in this series looks at how the platform is setting the standard for at-home TV viewing experiences and its vision for the future.

 

The previous article in this series introduced the FAST market and the history behind Samsung TV Plus. This week, Samsung Newsroom sat down with Yujung Kang, Junga Park and Sejin Woo of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics to discuss the current status of the industry-leading platform and its future.

Samsung TV Plus’ Secret to Success: A Carefully Calibrated Operation

In addition to offering diverse content, Samsung optimizes the viewing experience for users through its content partnerships. Partners must undergo an onboarding process for nine to 13 weeks to adjust screen aspect ratio, resolution and device compatibility — building an enriching viewing experience fit for any streaming environment.

 

“Since unexpected problems can occur even when you follow the rules, human intervention is necessary when tailoring content to devices,” said Yujung Kang. The operation team monitors streaming specifications when a channel launch is set, so users can comfortably stream content across different devices such as smartphones, tablets and TVs. A variety of factors must be checked including the audio-to-video synchronization, program guide, logos and thumbnails — against more than 10 categories and subcategories. This rigorous procedure is designed to detect and identify any potential issues that may arise when content is continuously played for more than 24 hours. Once completed, Samsung adjusts the subtitle readability and ensures stable streaming with engineers.

 

These processes serve as the foundation for seamlessly hosting and operating over 2,000 global channels in real-time, all day every day. “We carefully listen and communicate with viewers while directly monitoring each channel during launch, operation and termination — treating our partner channels like our own company products,“ said Yujung.

 

 

Customized Content for Every Occasion

While stable service is crucial during viewing, content quality makes all the difference. To reduce content clutter and guarantee content quality meets the highest standards, Samsung focuses on providing high-quality content rather than merely expanding the number of channels. In line with this approach, Samsung TV Plus considers objective viewer data analytics and conducts internal discussions to curate a selection of content that users will enjoy watching.

 

Samsung TV Plus’ goal is to make every hour “prime time.” To this end, Samsung updates content and adjusts channels every other week so that viewers have access to only the best content they are bound to enjoy. Upon analyzing data and trends, the company removes content from the platform that has low viewership. In addition to this, Samsung regularly organizes channels around certain events, holidays and seasons to promote content users may not want to miss out on.

“Before adding a new season of a TV series, we create a channel where viewers can watch previous seasons and adjust the order of channels to make the content stand out,” said Sejin. “There’s a strategy behind every channel.”

 

 

Targeting Global Viewers Through Curated Content

Understanding the unique content preferences of users around the world is essential when determining channel offerings as users’ preferences differ by location, culture and more. As such, Samsung TV Plus works with content partnership experts in each region to understand and source content.

“We’re able to identify the true value of content only when we combine data with the opinions of experts who fully understand a target country,” Junga Park said. While data is crucial when analyzing a TV program’s relative popularity, content experts provide valuable insight into the preferences of local viewers, ensuring that selected content will be well received.

 

“It is a delicate balance of art and science,” she added.

These differences in content preferences are particularly noticeable between viewers in Korea and the United States. While Korean viewers tend to select trending shows, American viewers prefer to watch shows based on individual preferences.

 

“In Korea, people will ask each other if they have seen the latest episode of a TV show since trending content is a conversation starter. However, in the United States, the popularity of over 200 channels is pretty evenly spread — reflecting the diversity of viewers’ content preferences,” said Yujung.

 

Local content is especially well received in multilingual nations such as India and European countries. Yet, preferences for subtitles differ by region — viewers in Korea are not disturbed by subtitles, but viewers in Spain prefer dubbed content. “When it comes to sourcing content, our top priority is language. For example, we provide not only English and Hindi, but also Marathi, Tamil, Punjabi, Gujrati, Bengali, Telegu, and Bhojpuri content in India,” she added.

 

 

Samsung TV Plus Aims To Become a Next Generation Media Platform

Samsung TV Plus is celebrating its ninth anniversary by expanding its service to more devices and continuing to enhance its content library through stronger partnerships.

 

Looking ahead, Yujung highlighted how Samsung is seeking to use the latest technological tools to increase efficiency. “Many factors, such as resolution, subtitles and content format, still need to be managed by someone,” she said. “We are planning to adopt automation processes across our operations to make them more efficient. Since ‘operation never sleeps,’ we will enable our service to be automatically set if data is entered. More efficient service operation is one of our top priorities.”

 

Another goal for the platform is to expand market presence and brand awareness. “There are some users who use Samsung TV Plus frequently but don’t necessarily know it’s a Samsung product,” said Sejin. “This year, we will carry out customized marketing activities tailored to each country and drive more global users to the platform through stronger brand awareness.”

 

Junga is confident that the FAST market will continue to grow as global streaming services such as Samsung TV Plus strive to become the next generation of TV. “Samsung will continue to enhance the platform to become the world’s largest TV service provider, one that will present users with unparalleled viewing experiences while ensuring content and ad partners benefit,” said Junga.

      At Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026, Europe’s largest display exhibition held in Barcelona this February, an installation at the Samsung Electronics booth captured visitors’ attention. Just 52 mm thick, the display shows objects rotating 360 degrees as if floating in midair — without 3D glasses.
      Spatial Signage, Samsung’s glasses-free 3D display, has earned industry recognition with awards at IFA 2025, CES 2026 and ISE 2026. Bringing the concept to life required close collaboration across display, research and design teams — each solving a different piece of the 3D puzzle.
      Samsung Newsroom spoke with experts across the company — Jong-Gu Sun and Yujin Nam from the Visual Display (VD) Business, Chang-Kun Lee from Samsung Research (SR) and Eun Vit Chung from the Corporate Design Office (CDO) — about the journey behind the innovation.

      Redefining the 3D Visual Experience
      As demand grows for more distinctive visuals, the need for new display solutions is increasing. “We are seeing rising interest in visually striking content that captures attention, such as ultra-large LED-based anamorphic displays,” said Sun. “However, these installations typically require more space than traditional signage and dedicated 3D content.”
      “Spatial Signage delivers immersive 3D depth without glasses or bulky holographic boxes, enabling differentiated experiences across a wide range of environments,” he added. “It also reduces the cost of producing dedicated content while remaining compatible with existing signage systems.”

Turning the concept into reality required a strong technological foundation. “While exploring new signage solutions, we discovered advanced display technology under development at Samsung Research and realized it could enable 3D signage for B2B environments,” said Chung. “From that point, close collaboration among SR, CDO and the VD Business advanced the technology and brought it to market.”

      Inside the Technology Behind Spatial Signage
      At the core of Spatial Signage is 3D plate technology. “The system combines a display with optical components to send separate images to each eye, applying the principle of binocular disparity so the brain perceives depth,” Lee explained. “A lenticular card — which shows different images depending on the viewing angle — is a common example of a 3D plate.”
      ▲ Principle of 3D plate technology “Spatial Signage uses a new method of rendering 3D images to address the limitations of conventional glasses-free 3D displays, such as reduced image quality and narrow viewing angles,” he added. “By presenting the main subject in high-resolution 2D while using a 3D plate to create depth in the background, it achieves both immersion and high image quality.”
      Building an ultra-large, 85-inch 3D display was no easy task. A 3D plate is made by combining lenticular lenses with printed images to produce 3D visuals — and once created, it cannot be adjusted.
      ▲ Lee highlights Samsung’s innovative technology behind the ultra-large, 85-inch 3D display. “If discrepancies between design specifications and the actual structure are not precisely accounted for, the background on screen can appear distorted,” said Lee. “To address this, we developed a special pattern to detect errors during lens production.” By combining this printed pattern with the lenticular lens, the team could quickly identify deviations and adjust printing conditions accordingly.
      Securing depth while maintaining a slim profile was another challenge. Spatial Signage uses a thin 3-4 mm 3D plate to create a box-like sense of space with a perceived depth of up to 500 mm, as if extending inside the screen. “Achieving depth with such thin optical materials made lens design and reliability testing difficult,” Nam explained. “Despite numerous unexpected obstacles, we explored a range of ideas and ultimately improved the product’s quality.”

The team also faced physical limitations. “With an ultra-large 3D plate, gravity can cause sagging, leading to blemishes or distortions, while vertical lenses can produce the moiré effect — a high-frequency, wave-like pattern,” said Nam. “We repeatedly encountered these technical constraints. It would not have been possible without close collaboration across teams.”

      Crafting Depth Through Design
      With the technology in place, the next step was to design an intuitive and immersive visual experience. “To maximize depth on the 85-inch screen, we refined the 3D plate imagery and developed guidelines for image processing that enhance elements such as perspective and shadows,” Chung emphasized. “It is the result of years of accumulated expertise and dedication.”
      As a result, the 3D plate features precisely calculated lines, surfaces and gradient backgrounds, while the foreground 2D content incorporates lighting, shadows and perspective aligned with the background’s depth. “This project felt like bringing virtual images from a 3D program into the real world,” said Chung. “I’ve grown attached to each visual element created through this process.”

However, implementing the concept proved more complex than expected. “While typical design work can rely on a single image, Spatial Signage requires images to be divided into micrometer-level segments — thinner than a strand of human hair,” Chung explained. In other words, designers had to anticipate how those segments would come together. “It would have been impossible without a deep understanding of optics. By studying and applying those principles, we achieved the sense of depth seen today.”

      New Opportunities for B2B Displays
      Developed through close collaboration across teams, Spatial Signage goes beyond traditional displays and opens new possibilities in everyday environments. To increase its versatility in diverse retail settings, Samsung plans to expand its lineup past the current 85-inch model with 32-inch and 55-inch options later this year.
      ▲ Samsung VXT lets users create signage-ready videos. “Whenever I walk by a café with Spatial Signage, I notice people pausing to look at the display,” said Nam. “For cafés or franchises seeking a more engaging way to promote seasonal menus or events, it can offer a compelling alternative.”
      AI Studio,1 an AI-powered content creation app within Samsung Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT), lets users create signage-ready videos from a single product image. In addition to supporting standard digital signage, it offers an option to optimize content specifically for Spatial Signage — delivering a truly immersive experience on the 3D display.
      “In addition to retail, Spatial Signage is drawing strong interest from sectors including 3D audiovisual solutions for education in Europe, virtual personal training systems for major fitness chains and augmented reality waiting areas at theme parks in Korea,” said Sun. “Through innovative display solutions, we will continue to build a commercial display ecosystem that only Samsung can deliver.”

      Samsung Electronics today shared its plan to expand support for glasses-free 3D gameplay on the Samsung Odyssey 3D gaming monitor. At GDC Festival of Gaming 2026 in San Francisco, Samsung will spotlight Hell Is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn as part of its expanding 3D gaming ecosystem, demonstrating how leading titles are embracing immersive display without the need for special glasses. 
      “The Odyssey 3D is designed for gamers who want to experience their hobby in a way that feels like they’re completely embedded in the action,” said Kevin Lee, Executive Vice President of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Through partnerships with leading gaming studios, we are committed to creating an ecosystem of top-tier titles, making great games extraordinary.”

      Gaming’s Most Acclaimed Titles Become Fully Immersive 3D Experiences — Expanding Partnerships With Leading Developers
      Hell Is Us, the critically acclaimed action-adventure horror game from Rogue Factor, will arrive on Samsung’s Odyssey 3D ecosystem in March, becoming a part of the first wave of newly added 3D-enabled titles for 2026.
      Cronos: The New Dawn, developed by Bloober Team, will join this expanding 3D gaming library by the end of the year. This survival horror game, which has received generally positive reviews from critics, will provide an immersive gaming experience by integrating with the 3D technology.
      Both titles will be playable in 3D through the Samsung Odyssey 3D Hub, the company’s dedicated 3D content platform, which already supports over 60 titles. 
      In addition to 3D gaming technology, Samsung offers HDR10+ GAMING, which delivers optimized HDR performance to each game by automatically analyzing each scene and frame, thereby enhancing immersion. Since 2022, the company has integrated HDR10+ GAMING into its Odyssey gaming monitors and TVs featuring refresh rates above 120Hz.
      Samsung has partnered with top video game studio CD PROJEKT RED as part of its commitment to advancing display technology alongside leading developers.
      This collaboration will explore how technology can be advanced to increase the immersion of video games for players, and Samsung is already working with CD PROJEKT RED to integrate HDR10+ GAMING into its hit video game Cyberpunk 2077.
      Additionally, Samsung announced the expansion of its HDR10+ GAMING partnership with Pearl Abyss. HDR10+ GAMING will be featured in Pearl Abyss’s upcoming open-world action-adventure game Crimson Desert, set to launch in March, ensuring gamers enjoy a premium HDR experience.

      The Full Odyssey Experience Comes to GDC 2026
      At GDC 2026, Samsung will host hands-on demo sessions for journalists and industry experts to gain an up-close look at its latest Odyssey monitors and an opportunity to play Hell Is Us in 3D before the public.
      The demo sessions will feature Samsung’s Odyssey gaming monitor lineup:
      27-inch Odyssey 3D (G90XF model): Glasses-free 3D gaming with advanced eye-tracking that delivers natural-looking depth and makes action jump off the screen. This glasses-free 3D gaming monitor will expand the lineup with the launch of a 32-inch model by the end of the year. 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH model): Stunning 4K QD-OLED at 240Hz with exceptional color and contrast, protected by Samsung OLED Safeguard+ technology. 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS model): The industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, delivering native 165Hz performance with Dual Mode support up to 330Hz in 3K. This model also offers VESA-certified DisplayPort 2.1 (DP 2.1) connectivity, which supports smooth gaming and efficient video playback. 27-inch Odyssey G6 (G60H model): The world’s first 1,040Hz gaming monitor with Dual Mode, delivering esports-level motion clarity and responsiveness.
      Odyssey 3D: Glasses-Free Gaming at Its Peak
      While previous 3D approaches required either special glasses or sacrificed performance, the Odyssey 3D is a groundbreaking gaming monitor that delivers stunning 3D gameplay without compromise. Using advanced Eye Tracking and View Mapping technology, the monitor requires no glasses. It adjusts the 3D depth of the scene in response to the viewer’s position in real time, ensuring an optimized 3D effect.
      Combined with a 165Hz refresh rate and 1ms GtG response time, the Odyssey 3D delivers smooth, responsive gameplay, resulting in a 3D effect that holds even during fast camera movement, gunfights and high-speed traversal — without the eye strain traditionally associated with 3D displays.

      Samsung Electronics today announced the expansion of its commercial display offerings, led by the global launch of Samsung Spatial Signage, at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026 in Barcelona. The announcement includes new AI-powered content capabilities through Samsung VXT, new additions to Samsung’s supersized commercial display lineup and expanded enterprise collaboration with Cisco-certified wide-format display solutions.
      “For commercial environments, bringing displays and content solutions together is becoming increasingly important,” said SW Yong, President and Head of the Visual Display (VD) Business at Samsung Electronics. “Glasses-free 3D Spatial Signage, combined with new AI-powered capabilities in Samsung VXT, allows us to deliver a more integrated approach to immersive commercial displays, helping businesses create engaging experiences across a wide range of commercial environments.”

      Bringing Brands to Life Across a Range of Environments With Spatial Signage
      Spatial Signage is Samsung’s industry-leading 3D digital signage that delivers an immersive visual experience. Using Samsung’s patented 3D Plate technology, it creates a sense of spatial depth positioned behind the LCD panel. Content retains the sharpness of 2D visuals while adding natural-looking 3D depth — without the need for specialized equipment such as 3D glasses. The display’s presentation naturally draws attention in retail, luxury, museum and entertainment settings, helping direct focus to key promotions, exhibitions or important information.
      The newly launched 85-inch Spatial Signage display features a 4K UHD resolution (2,160 x 3,840) in a 9:16 portrait format, which enables brands and venues to present 360-degree rotating visuals that show front, back and side views of a product or scene.
      Powered by Samsung’s industry-leading Quantum Processor, the display provides 4K UHD upscaling, 16-bit color mapping and dynamic HDR refinement to deliver sharper detail, smoother tonal transitions and consistent color accuracy. Additionally, an anti-glare panel helps maintain clarity under bright or challenging lighting conditions.
      Spatial Signage features an UltraThin Design with a slim 52mm profile and a lightweight 49kg build. Compatible with a Slim Fit Wall Mount, the display installs like conventional signage and integrates cleanly into compact or design-sensitive locations, without the bulky, box-like enclosures typically associated with traditional showcase-style displays.1 Spatial Signage is available globally in an 85-inch model, with the launch of 32-inch and 55-inch sizes to follow.
      AI Studio, a new AI-powered content app within Samsung VXT,2 was showcased at ISE 2026 to demonstrate streamlined content creation for all Samsung signage connected to the platform. The app transforms static images into signage-ready video without the need for external tools or manual setup. Content created through VXT’s AI Studio app is automatically optimized with refined shadow detailing, adjusted margins and background treatments for Spatial Signage — creating more realistic and balanced visuals tailored for a wide variety of commercial environments.
      Recognized for its pioneering 3D capabilities, Spatial Signage has been named a CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree in the newly introduced Enterprise Tech category, which made Samsung one of the first to be recognized in the category during its commercial debut at the show. Last year, the display was also named an IFA 2025 Innovation Award Honoree in the ‘Best in Emerging Tech’ category.

      Redefining Supersized Signage for Bold Business Impact
      Samsung is reinforcing its leadership in supersized commercial displays with a growing lineup of extra-large formats built for high-impact business environments. At ISE 2026, Samsung introduced the 130-inch Micro RGB signage (QPHX model) to commercial audiences for the first time. Previously unveiled at CES 2026 for the ultra-premium home entertainment market, the display features Samsung’s most advanced Micro LED technology to date. It combines micro-scale RGB LEDs with the Micro RGB AI Engine Pro to deliver vivid color expression and exceptional picture quality in an ultra-slim design, making it ideal for flagship retail and premium spaces.
      Also unveiled at ISE 2026 was the 108-inch The Wall All-in-One (MMF-A model) in 2K resolution, engineered to dramatically simplify large-format LED deployment. Like previous models (146-inch 4K and 2K, 136-inch 2K and 110-inch 2K), it reduces on-site setup time and labor compared to traditional LED walls. Installation is possible in as little as two hours, depending on display size.3 However, the new 108-inch model features a more compact, split-panel design that makes supersized LED installation as efficient as mounting two LCD screens rather than a full LED wall — all at a much faster pace.
      Together with the previously introduced 105-inch QPDX-5K and 115-inch QHFX models, the addition of the 130-inch Micro RGB Signage and The Wall All-in-One series gives businesses more ways to create immersive, ultra-large visual experiences across lobbies, showrooms, boardrooms and other high-impact commercial spaces. This expanded lineup reinforces Samsung’s 17-year leadership in the global digital signage market.4

      Advancing Enterprise Collaboration With Cisco and Logitech Partnerships
      Samsung’s 115-inch 4K Smart Signage (QHFX model) and 146-inch 2K The Wall All-in-One (IAB model) lead the industry in advanced supersized displays, offering seamless, immersive meeting spaces without the complexity of multi-screen setups. These supersized models are the latest Samsung displays to be certified for compatibility with Cisco’s collaboration devices, joining the previously certified Samsung QMC lineup. Notably, Samsung The Wall All-in-One is the world’s first LED display to receive the certification.5
      Cisco certification follows a rigorous testing program to confirm the reliability of the display’s video interfaces and ensure optimized image quality for video meetings. It also confirms the visibility of displays within Cisco’s Control Hub management platform and verifies secure, seamless integration across meeting spaces. Together, these factors contribute to high-quality meeting experiences for participants and improved enterprise management for IT teams.
      Additionally, through a new partnership with Logitech, Samsung 4K Smart Signage QBC series is now included in Microsoft’s Express Install for Microsoft Teams Rooms, enabling fast, cost-effective meeting room setups. The offering combines Samsung displays with Logitech’s certified Microsoft Teams Rooms conferencing solution to simplify room installations, allowing them to be completed in under an hour.

      Samsung Electronics took part in Gamescom 2024, the world’s largest event for computer and video games, with an 800-square-meter booth highlighting unrivaled immersive experiences, cutting-edge technology and exciting gaming partnerships. Fans crowded Samsung’s exhibit throughout the event to experience the latest innovations and play their favorite games. The magical glasses-free 3D gaming experience, via Odyssey 3D monitor, caught the attention of gamers and media alike.

      Held from August 20-25 in Cologne, Germany, Gamescom 2024 spanned an impressive 230,000 square meters. Over 1,400 companies from showcased their latest games and technology to more than 335,000 fans from around 120 countries at the annual gaming conference. Offering something for everyone, Samsung’s booth became a must-visit attraction at Gamescom 2024.

      A Magical Glasses-Free 3D Gaming Experience
      The booth centered around Samsung’s newest Odyssey 3D monitor — a glasses-free display delivering a 3D experience unlike anything currently available on the market.
       
      While preparing for Gamescom 2024, Samsung determined that the optimal distance to experience 3D gaming on the Odyssey 3D was about 60 cm (approximately 2 feet). Monitors at the booth were positioned from this distance, allowing fans to experience Eye Tracking and View Mapping technology that projects 3D graphics with astounding picture quality.
       
      With these advancements, Samsung continues to build on its legacy of excellence and innovation by reshaping the gaming landscape and transforming how people interact with their favorite titles. The technology left a lasting impression on Gamescom 2024 attendees. “The 3D graphics made it look like I could reach out and touch the world in the game,” said one visitor. “Everything felt so much more real.”

      The next generation of photo-realistic games is becoming even more lifelike with Samsung’s 3D technology. Thanks to a special partnership between KRAFTON and Samsung, fans could play KRAFTON’s life simulation game inZOI in stunning 3D at Samsung’s booth —the title is scheduled for release later this year.

      “Gamescom is where passionate gamers come together,” said Donghwa Lim, Enterprise R&D Lab, Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics, who oversees the Odyssey 3D’s hardware development. “We had a great opportunity to see how the 3D monitor we developed can captivate people’s attention and exceed their gaming expectations.”

      The 32” Odyssey OLED G8 is the ultimate immersive OLED monitor, featuring a 4K UHD 16:9 screen that allows users to step directly into the worlds of the games they play. With a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, this monitor promises smoother, more responsive gameplay. The monitor’s dual QHD resolution 32:9 ultra-wide screen ratio brought Azeroth’s visual splendor to life, while the 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time allowed gameplay decisions to materialize almost instantaneously.
       
       
      Gaming on Gaming Hub on Samsung AI TVs

      For gamers who enjoy playing on Samsung Gaming Hub or via consoles, Samsung showcased the best gaming TVs on the market at its booth. Visitors went head-to-head in today’s hottest sports games on the  75” Neo QLED 8K and 98” Neo QLED TVs. Motion Xcelerator and AI-optimized picture quality added to the excitement of the matches.
       
      In addition, fans had an up-close look at the 77” OLED TV with a diverse selection of games to play. The TV’s bold contrast, vibrant colors and Game Motion Plus feature created optimal gaming visuals, whereas the 120Hz refresh rate ensured smooth and responsive gameplay.

      Samsung Electronics today announced the unveiling of its latest gaming monitors with a particular focus on the groundbreaking Odyssey 3D, which offers glasses-free 3D viewing, at Gamescom 2024 in Cologne, Germany.
       
      Gamescom 2024, held from August 21 to 25, is the world’s largest gaming exhibition and features more than 1,400 exhibitors, including hardware, software and game content producers. Samsung will showcase its high-end gaming monitors — including the new Odyssey 3D and models from the Odyssey G6, G8 and G9 series — at its booth, which spans 800m2 and is the company’s largest and most immersive booth to date.

      Glasses-Free 3D Gaming With Odyssey 3D
      The Odyssey 3D’s innovative light field display (LFD) technology creates lifelike 3D images from 2D content by using a lenticular lens1 on the front panel. Combined with Eye Tracking and View Mapping technology, Odyssey 3D ensures an optimized 3D experience without the need for separate 3D glasses. Eye Tracking monitors the movement of both eyes using a built-in stereo camera, while View Mapping continuously adjusts the image to enhance depth perception.
       
      The Odyssey 3D can seamlessly switch between 2D and 3D modes based on the user’s preference. Offered in 27” and 37” sizes, it features a 4K resolution display, a rapid 1ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time and a high refresh rate of 165Hz, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted gameplay without any afterimages or interruptions.
       
      Additionally, the Odyssey 3D comes with an ergonomic design featuring a Height Adjustment Stand (HAS), tilt capabilities, FreeSync Premium, one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. The monitor was honored with the Best of Innovation award in the Gaming & eSports category at CES 2024.

      Expanding the 2024 Odyssey OLED Lineup
      Samsung has announced the expansion of its highly acclaimed Odyssey OLED lineup, which features the introduction of three new models: the Odyssey OLED G95SD, G93SD and G85SD.2
       
      The Odyssey OLED G9 series, including the G95SD and G93SD models, delivers an immersive experience with dual QHD (5,120 x 1,440) resolution, a 32:9 ultra-wide screen ratio, 1,800R curved design, Smart Hub,3 Gaming Hub,4 a 240Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time. The 34” Odyssey OLED G8 (G85SD model) offers ultra-wide QHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution, a 21:9 screen ratio, 1,800R curved design, Smart Hub, Gaming Hub, a 175Hz refresh rate and a 0.03ms GTG response time.
       
      Building on the success of the Odyssey OLED G6 and G8 introduced in June, Samsung now offers OLED monitors ranging from 27” to 49” — including the new widescreen models — further diversifying its comprehensive OLED portfolio and providing a wider range of options for gamers.
       
      The new Odyssey OLED models incorporate Samsung’s proprietary OLED Safeguard to prevent burn-ins and OLED Glare Free technology to minimize light reflection, ensuring a superior viewing experience. Additionally, the Odyssey OLED G9 (G95D model) was named a CES Innovation Award Honoree in Computer Peripherals & Accessories at CES 2024.
       
      Samsung Electronics continues to lead the global gaming monitor market, holding the No.1 brand position for five consecutive years.5 The company also ranked in #1 in 2024 Q1 according to recent IDC data. In Q1 2024, Samsung captured a 20.6% global market share in this category and led the European gaming monitor market with a 24.2% share by revenue, according to International Data Corporation (IDC).
