How can I update Tizen OS 4.0 to Tizen OS 5.0 on my Samsung Smart TV

An app that I would like to download and use (CAIWAY WebTV) is only supported by Tizen OS 5.0, but my Samsung TV is running on Tizen 4.0, so the app cannot be found. I updated the TV software to the latest version, but this does not update the Tizen OS itself. Is there a way to update the Tizen OS itself?

As of now, there isn't a direct way for users to update the Tizen OS on Samsung TVs independently. Tizen OS updates are typically rolled out by Samsung as part of larger software updates for specific TV models.  In your case, if the app you want to use specifically requires Tizen OS 5.0, and your TV is running on Tizen 4.0, you might be out of luck unless Samsung releases a Tizen OS update for your specific TV model.

Your best bet would be to keep an eye out for any future software updates from Samsung for your TV model that might include a Tizen OS update to version 5.0.
