Like the Galaxy S22 series, the Galaxy S23 flagship family will deliver three devices featuring two distinct designs. The Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus will pack the “traditional” smartphone design, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a built-in S Pen stylus. The Ultra will be the most expensive new Galaxy S phone and the Note successor that fans want to buy this year. And it so happens that the Galaxy S23 Ultra specs leaked in full ahead of the launch event.
Buyers can already decide whether the Ultra is worth the extra cash or whether the base Galaxy S23 is a good enough upgrade.
As usual with new Galaxy S launches, it’s WinFuture with the big Galaxy S23 Ultra specs list. The German-language blog also shared the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus specs. The information is likely accurate, as these leaks drop religiously every year ahead of Samsung’s new Galaxy S press event.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra will be the largest of the three flagships. And it won’t feature the same design as the cheaper phones. The handset has an all-screen display that’s slightly curved around the edges. That’s a byproduct of Samsung’s desire to keep the Note experience alive. The built-in S Pen stylus demands that the bottom edge is flat rather than curved at the corners. That means the top edge is also flat, and the side edges are curved.
Except for the Note design and features, the Galaxy S23 Ultra should feature the same base specs as the cheaper models. The camera setup will be much better, thanks to the inclusion of Samsung’s new 200-megapixel sensor and the periscope telephoto lens.
Galaxy S23 Ultra marketing materials leaked ahead of launch. Image source: WinFuture The Ultra features a 6.8-inch hole-punch display with 3088 x 1440 resolution and a 1-120Hz dynamic refresh rate. The screen has a built-in fingerprint sensor and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 glass panel.
The custom Galaxy Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip that already leaked powers all three Galaxy S23 phones, including the Ultra. Like the cheaper phones, the new Note gets two big specs upgrades. We’re looking at LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage that deliver big speed improvements over the previous standards.
Specifically, the Galaxy S23 Ultra specs leak says the phone ships with either 8GB or 12GB of RAM. Storage starts at 256GB and goes up to 1TB. The cheapest Ultra will likely come in an 8GB/256GB combination. The 12GB RAM models will probably feature more storage.
The specs leak also details the big camera upgrade the Galaxy S23 Ultra gets this year. That’s the Isocell HP2 camera sensor that Samsung just announced. We’re looking at a 200-megapixel sensor (85°, f/1.7, 23mm, OIS) that should improve low-light photography and video recording.
      The Ultra also features a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens (120°, f/2.2, 13mm), 10-megapixel telephoto lens (36°, f/2.4, 69mm, OIS), and 10-megapixel telephoto lens (11°, f/4.9, 230mm, OIS, 10x optical zoom, 100x space zoom).
      On the front, expect a 12-megapixel shooter (80°, f/2.2, 25mm, HDR10+).
Galaxy S23 Ultra marketing materials leaked ahead of launch. Image source: WinFuture Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy S23 Ultra should support 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, NFC, and UWB.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra leak also mentions the battery specs. We’re looking at a 5,000 mAh battery pack that supports 45W fast charging and 10W wireless charging.
According to the leak, the handset should be available in black, cream, green, and purple. And if a recent report is accurate, the Galaxy S23 Ultra price will remain unchanged in the US. That means the handset will start at $1,199 in the States. WinFuture doesn’t mention prices for Germany or the EU, but rumors suggest Samsung might raise prices in international markets.

We knew Samsung was gearing up to announce new foldable phones, but we weren’t sure exactly when it would happen. But now a new leak has spoiled the date of Samsung’s latest Unpacked event. On Monday morning, leaker Evan Blass tweeted out a leaked promotional image for the next Galaxy Unpacked event. The image reveals that Samsung will debut the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 on August 10th.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4 reveal set for August
The image appears to be the invite that members of the press will likely receive in the days ahead. The date appears to the left of a blurry device, which is almost certainly the Galaxy Z Flip 4. As always, Samsung will stream the event live on its website.
Blass claimed in a follow-up tweet that the title of the event will be “Unfold Your World,” referring to the new foldable phones.
Of course, foldable phones won’t be the only new devices to surface at the event. Front Page Tech host Jon Prosser previously leaked the date of the Unpacked event in June. At that time, he said the Galaxy Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro smartwatches would launch alongside the foldables on August 10th and begin shipping on August 26th.
He also spoiled the color options for all five new models Samsung will announce:
Galaxy Z Fold 4: Phantom Black, Green, Beige Galaxy Z Flip 4: Graphite, Bora Purple, Pink Gold, Blue Galaxy Watch 5 (40mm): Phantom Black, Silver, Pink Gold Galaxy Watch 5 (44mm): Phantom Black, Silver, Sapphire Galaxy Watch 5 Pro: Phantom Black, Silver Samsung typically announces the dates of its Unpacked streams two weeks ahead of time. Therefore, we expect an official confirmation next week.
      Leaked specifications and features
According to previous leaks, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature a 7.6-inch QXGA+ AMOLED main display, a 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED front display, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, 4400mAh battery, and triple rear camera.
Leaked benchmarks have also given us an idea of the power of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, and fans should be excited. Twitter leaker Ice Universe said that the power consumption performance of the 4nm chip in the Z Flip 4 will be better than that of Samsung’s chips.

After the Galaxy S22 series’ semi-disastrous launch, Samsung probably can’t wait to unveil its next flagship phones. These will be foldable devices, however. They’re the successors of last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Flip 3. The Fold 4 and Flip 4 have appeared in several leaks already, and we know what to expect from the handsets’ designs and specs sheets. And a leaker just revealed the purported launch, preorder, and release dates for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4.

The Fold 4 and Flip 4 will look like their predecessors, but fans of foldable handsets can expect several significant design changes.
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 design is the more exciting of the two devices. The phone will be shorter and wider than the Fold 3. It’ll still have a massive internal foldable display. But it should be more comfortable to use the handset when folded because the external display will have a better aspect ratio.
The Fold 4 is also going to be lighter and thinner than its predecessor. Samsung will supposedly use a new hinge mechanism to reduce the phone’s weight.
The same leaker who provided most of the aforementioned Galaxy Z Fold 4 details also listed the handset’s main specs. The main takeaway is that the Fold 4 will feature a brand new chip, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 that Qualcomm just unveiled.
This implies that all the Fold 4 models will pack the same System-on-Chip (SoC), which is good news for fans. Poor Exynos 2200 performance hurt the Galaxy S22 this year, and many people think Samsung should drop its latest SoC as soon as possible.
Ice Universe has provided plenty of tidbits about the Fold 4 and Flip 4 in the past. But he never revealed the launch and release date details for the two Galaxy Z phones.
Thankfully, we now have that information from a different prominent leaker, YouTuber Jon Prosser.
Galaxy Z Fold 4 release date
The YouTuber took to Twitter to discuss several unreleased Samsung products, including the new foldables. Prosser revealed launch, preorder, and release dates in a series of tweets. He mentioned the Galaxy Z Fold 4, Flip 4, a Lavander version of the Galaxy S22, as well as upcoming Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro wearables.
If Prosser’s sources are correct, Samsung will hold its Galaxy Z Fold 4 launch event on August 10th. That’s when the company should unveil the Flip 4 and its new 2022 wearable generation. Preorders for all these products should start on the same day.
Then, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the rest of these new devices will apparently get the same release date: August 26th.
The leaker said that the Galaxy Z Fold 4 will come in Phantom Black, Green, and Beige. The Flip 4 will be available in colorway options at launch, including Graphite, Bora Purple, Pink Gold, and Blue.
The Galaxy Watch 5 will come in 40mm and 44mm sizes, which sound familiar. Both models are said to be available in Phantom Black or Silver. The smaller model will get a Pink option, while the 44mm will get a Sapphire (blueish) colorway. The Watch 5 Pro will also reportedly come in Phantom Black and Silver, but it’ll be slightly larger at 46mm.
Prosser did not provide pricing information for any of these devices, but at least we have an apparent release date. However, considering that Samsung went out of its way to make last year’s foldables more affordable, we’d expect a similar strategy for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Flip 4.
The prices should leak as we get closer to the launch event.
