Is it possible to do step-forward and step-rewind with TV's remote control on a video in Tizen browser?
For example, when I open any video from www.Twitter.com on iPhone (in full screen), nice controls for step-forward / step-rewind show up (screenshot attached).
But I couldn't find similar feature when opening video from www.twitter.com on Tizen browser in SamsungTV.
Can it be achieved? Maybe there's a workaround? Maybe I should install a different browser on Tizen?

Samsung just unveiled the Galaxy S23 series, and you can preorder the S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra right away to get some amazing perks. If you’re still unsure which model to get, you should know that the Ultra is technically the best one. As Samsung’s Note replacement, the Galaxy S23 Ultra features the best camera module of the three phones, which will see plenty of comparisons with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and the Pixel 7 Pro.
The first comparison video comes from YouTuber Mrwhosetheboss, comparing all aspects of the Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max camera. And from the looks of it, Samsung’s new phone can outperform the best iPhone camera on the market right now.
For years, the iPhone has set the bar when it comes to smartphone cameras. Companies like Samsung and Google went on to refine the camera performance of their respective flagships. Each phone generation got closer to the iPhone or even exceeded Apple’s capabilities. The Pixel was the first to offer amazing night mode photography, for example.
But just as the photo performance got to the point where it’s generally a matter of personal preference between iPhone, Galaxy S, and Pixel flagships, Apple still retained a massive advantage: Video recording quality.
Video performance is one of the first topics in this new Galaxy S23 Ultra vs. iPhone 14 Pro Max camera comparison video. From the looks of it, Samsung has significantly improved video recording quality on the new flagship. The resulting clips are as smooth as the ones shot on iPhone 14 Pro Max, according to the YouTuber.
The S23 Ultra’s stabilization upgrades also shine in ” super steady mode,” which competes directly against Apple’s “action mode” on the iPhone.
The new Ultra can also support better zoom than the iPhone 14 Pro Max, at least on paper. The caveat is that it’s not always usable. And the iPhone can still offer great zoomed-in video recording up to a certain level. When it comes to zooming on the moon, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is the absolute winner in the comparison, however.

Apple has the luxury of designing its own high-end chips and then building the software. That includes optimizing the camera software and ensuring everything is accounted for, especially when it comes to video recording conditions. But, the Galaxy S23 Ultra manages to get the closest to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Despite Samsung not having the same chip advantages.
Support for 8K video recording is another win for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. However, the quality isn’t where it should be, especially if the lighting isn’t great.
When it comes to photos, both the Galaxy S23 Ultra and the iPhone 14 Pro Max should offer similarly great experiences. That includes excellent low-light photography performance, according to the YouTuber. And this is where personal preference will be the main factor. Mrwhosetheboss favors the more “fun” aspect of taking photos with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
That is, Samsung’s pre-edited photos with richer colors and warmer skin tones win over Apple’s more natural pictures. But despite the fact that Samsung’s image processing has improved over the previous models, the Galaxy S23 Ultra still has a noticeable shutter lag compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra has also improved the night mode photo experience, the camera comparison video explains. But one thing that favors the iPhone 14 Pro Max is the phone’s adaptive flash. “While the iPhone is still a more reliable camera for video there’s all of a sudden not a lot else that Samsung doesn’t do better,” the YouTuber said, concluding that the Galaxy S23 Ultra can be a better camera for some people than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
You can watch the full video below, for a detailed look at the two cameras, complete with plenty of video and photo samples.

Samsung’s Galaxy S23 launch event is coming on February 1st, but we don’t have to wait to see the Ultra flagship in a hands-on video. If the huge number of Galaxy S23 leaks wasn’t enough to help you decide whether or not to purchase one of the three S23 variants, we now have purported videos out in the wild of the most expensive option.
Apparently, stores are already getting their Galaxy S23 supply in ahead of the February 1st launch event. Preorders will follow right after the press conference, and we expect the three Galaxy S23 handsets to hit stores a couple of weeks later.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra hands-on videos below reportedly come from Nicaragua, where some stores shared Galaxy S23 content online well ahead of the phone’s launch:
One of the clips shows the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s full design. The new Note successor matches previous leaks, not that we expected surprises. We have a large display with curved bezels and flat top and bottom sides. On the back, there’s a massive camera with no fewer than four distinct lenses, including the brand-new 200-megapixel shooter.
This isn’t a dummy unit, either. The Galaxy S23 Ultra in these clips appears to be a retail version. The person who posted the clips also shared a test of the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s zoom camera in action.
Moreover, other images seem to confirm some of the Galaxy S23 Ultra camera’s specs and features. The handset features a 200-megapixel sensor, according to the camera interface. That must be the new Isocell HP2 camera that Samsung just announced. And the camera supports 8K video recording at 30fps.
Separately, the Nicaraguan retail store that posted the hands-on videos also shared photos showing the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra. As you can see, the images confirm some of the colors Samsung will offer Galaxy S23 buyers at launch. The Galaxy S23 Ultra will get Green, Cream, Phantom Black, and Lavender options if this leak is accurate.
Finally, Evan Blass posted online posters for the Galaxy S23 preorder event that seemingly corroborated the leaks from Nicaragua.
The retail store didn’t leak the local pricing details for the Galaxy S23 series. Word on the street is that Samsung will keep Galaxy S22 prices in place in the US, while international buyers will see price hikes for all three Galaxy S23 models.

If you are out there in the world and actually think you need this monitor, reach out to me. I want to hear from you.
As reported by The Verge, AMD held its RDNA 3 GPU event earlier today. In addition to a number of announcements at the event, the company also revealed that Samsung, one of its partners, is working on a massive 8K monitor. Not only is the company planning to release this massive 8K monitor, but it is also planned to be curved, taking things to an even more insane level.
Unfortunately, the only detail that AMD revealed about the monitor is that it will feature DisplayPort 2.1 connectivity. The company says that Samsung will be revealing more details about the massive monitor at CES 2023 which is kicking off at the beginning of January in 2023.
The outlet notes that, due to how the aspect ratios of ultrawide monitors work out, we shouldn’t expect a true 8K resolution from the upcoming monitor. Doing some basic math, the new monitor could come in at a resolution of 8,000 pixels by 2,250 pixels.
One of the biggest questions is what the new monitor may cost. The Neo G9, which was Samsung’s more recent high-end ultrawide, debuted at $2500. It’s not hard to think that this 8K version might crack the $3000 price point.
If you’re not looking to drop that kind of money but want a great monitor, check out our list of the Best computer monitors in 2022.

DALLAS—Parks Associates has released consumer research showing that in Q3 2021, 27% of US broadband subscribers reported that smart TV’s using the Samsung Tizen operating system were their primary device for consuming video content.
The data highlighted the fact that more “changes are coming for the video entertainment market in 2022," said Eric Sorensen, senior contributing analyst, Parks Associates. "The smart TV will cement its status as the default streaming platform in the households. We will see many more content partnerships and service acquisitions among providers and manufacturers. Content creators will leverage their ability to reach audiences directly, while service and content providers will adapt their business models to anticipate higher levels of churn than in previous years."
Acquisitions and consolidations are becoming key options for streaming firms to compete in the face of limited material and the constant demand for more new content, Parks also reported.
It’s OTT Video Tracker found that the average churn rate for SVODs increased to 45% in 2021, a 5.5 percentage point jump from 2020. Consumers hold on to the services they use the most and jump among the others, paying for a program or season and then canceling when they are finished, Parks reported. The number of subscriptions may rise and fall over time, indicating that churn rates will continue to be elevated in 2022.
Parks Associates also reported that streaming media providers will face increasing competition from digital and social content producers in 2022. Popular online content creators are circumventing established distribution models and building their streaming applications from the ground up. For instance, KevOnStage Studios, created by comedian and multi-viral content producer Kevin Fredericks, whose stage name is KevOnStage, is very successful with his YouTube channel.
"Streaming apps provide new revenue opportunities, especially with the chance to retain content ownership rights," Sorensen said. "Digital content creators can monetize content and build audiences collected from social networking and video sharing platforms to their streaming applications and websites."
The OTT Video Market Tracker, an annual service from Parks Associates, features monthly updates on trends and market activities in the OTT video space, including comprehensive tracking of existing and emerging players and quarterly subscriber estimates.
